Cormac Neeson, the lead singer of Irish rock band The Answer, has recorded a new solo album which propels him into the life affirming world of the singer / songwriter.
The new direction showcases a series of beautifully crafted, introspective songs that draw on a recent past that has served up its fair share of challenges and heartache. The album, titled White Feather, was recorded in Nashville at the legendary Studio 19, now the Sound Kitchen and Neeson immersed himself in the rich musical history of both the studio and city.
There are flourishes of Country, Soul, Americana, Folk, Blues and roots throughout the project, helping to create a fresh identity for his debut offering.
Wearing your heart on your sleeve is a well worn idiom but in Neeson's case, it's an apt depiction of the vulnerable and exposed lyrical impact of this album, laying to rest a turbulent and difficult chapter in his life and looks forward to the future replete with all the beauty and chaos that path may hold.
