Rebekah Fitch is an artist who combines her love of melody with thought-provoking poetry; powerful vocals with transparency and vulnerability; and constant wonder with enigmatic visuals. The power of music is in its ability to carry a message, and this is exactly what Rebekah does. In a rapidly transforming world, she challenges listeners to stop and think for themselves, finding where they stand before being swept away in the chaos.
Drawing from her fascination with experimental electronica, she creates unique sonic worlds around strong melodies, blending new ideas with a familiar but poignant voice. She both comforts and questions the listener, with layers of meaning that are only limited by how deep you are willing to look. It demands attention, it feels new, and it feels like it’s only the beginning.
She has already toured the UK and Ireland, performed live sessions for Sky One, BBC Two and UTV, and gained early commercial success with playlisting on Cool FM, U105 and Dublin’s FM104 (as their Select Irish Artist). Her dynamic multi-instrumental live shows, complete with mesmerising live-looping, flute, and impressive vocal ability, have attracted serious attention and are now in constant demand.
In 2019, she sold out Belfast's The MAC Theatre, with a capacity of 350, her biggest headline show to date. With rave reviews, full band, string section, and light show, it set a daring new tone of where she is headed. This anticipated the release of her second EP, Lies We Tell Ourselves.
She has performed in arenas, as well as for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. Her recent release, Need To Feel, was picked up by tens of thousands on Spotify's Discover Weekly playlist, while the video for the track sparked a strong reaction of admiration online due to the bravely honest narrative surrounding mental health. Her songs have made No. 6 in Chordblossom’s Top NI Releases 2017-18-19, and No. 75 in The Thin Air's Top Irish Releases of 2019.
